About this site
Base Founders is a program for founders and AI builders, run in person in Valencia. This site describes it and invites applications. That is all it does — there is nothing to sign up for here and no account to create.
By using the site you accept what's on this page. It's written in plain English on purpose: if a term matters enough to hold you to, it matters enough to say clearly.
Applying
Applications are made by email and read as they come in. Sending one starts a conversation, nothing more: it creates no partnership, no employment, and no investment relationship. Whether anyone is selected is a judgement call, and there is no obligation to explain a decision or to run any particular cohort.
Anything described on this site — the length, the perks, the mentors, the partners — may change. Benefits offered by other companies are theirs to give and theirs to withdraw.
What you send
You keep what you own. Material you send with an application is used to read that application and for nothing else; no ownership and no commercial licence is claimed over your ideas, your code or your plans.
Applications are read by more than one person, so please don't send anything that belongs to someone else in confidence, or anything you aren't free to share. If something needs an agreement in place first, say so before sending it.
Using this site
Read it, link to it, share it. Please don't attack it, scrape it wholesale, or use its name and design to pass yourself off as connected to the program when you aren't.
Events and conduct
Events tied to the program, including community events run with AI Tinkerers Valencia, are open to people who behave decently. Harassment, discrimination and intimidation make the room worse for everyone and are reason enough to be asked to leave.
Events are sometimes photographed. If you'd rather not appear, tell an organiser on the day.
Names and logos
The partner, startup and mentor names and logos on this site belong to those organisations and appear with their permission. The rest of the site's text, design and code belongs to the people who made it.
Links elsewhere
This site links out to partners, community pages and startups. Those are other people's sites, with their own rules, and a link isn't an endorsement.
No promises
The site is offered as is. It may be wrong, out of date, or briefly unavailable. Nothing on it is legal, financial or investment advice, and nothing on it is an offer to invest.
Changes
These terms change as the program does. When they change, the date at the top changes with them, and the current version is always the one on this page.
